Daddy

Daddy

My Dad turned 82 today.  Two years ago, my husband Chris and I were in the Philippines to celebrate Dad's 80th birthday with him and the family.  We flew to the Philippines after our honeymoon in Hawaii.  So it really became a multiple celebration - Dad's 80th birthday, Mom's 75th birthday which was in November, and welcoming Chris to the Arato family.

Due to the risks and travel restrictions brought on by the pandemic, we did not get to travel to be with him this year.  So we sang "happy birthday" to him through video conference from four different time zones - California, Texas, New Jersey and the Philippines.  Praying that next year we can all be there to celebrate with Daddy in person again!

Here is a figurative portrait, aptly titled "Daddy”, based on a photograph of him, which is shown on the top left.  Also shown are a couple of painting in progress shots and the final painting on the bottom right.

“The righteous who walks in his integrity - blessed are his children after him!” ~ Proverbs 20:7
